Caring & Sharing Golf Benefit: August
21,
2010
Project Turnabout’s 19th Annual Philip
J. Kelly “Caring & Sharing” Golf Tournament will be held on August 21,
2010 at the Granite Run Golf Club in Granite Falls, MN. 100% of the
tournament’s proceeds are solely designated to benefit the “Caring &
Sharing” Fund. This fund offers financial assistance to patients and
families needing chemical dependency services. With your participation
in the 2010 tournament, even more patients and families will be able to
receive the help they so desperately need. We hope that you are able to
join us in some way.
Golf registrations for this four person “best ball”
scramble will be accepted until July 23, 2010 or until the tournament is
filled. Spots are limited so please secure your slot early. Entry fee is
just $75.00 per golfer and includes: 18 holes of golf, shared cart,
continental breakfast, lunch, dinner, trophies, event prizes, silent
auction and door prizes. Golf divisions include: Men’s, Women’s, Mixed
Couples and Seniors.
Since the tournament’s inception, over $220,000.00
has been raised through the efforts of many contributors to the event.
Project Turnabout thanks all of the golfers, phantom golfers, sponsors,
volunteers, businesses and organizations that continue to make this
event, year after year, a successful fundraiser for those who need our
help.

Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Granite Falls Project Turnabout

Appetite for Life
Benefit: February 12, 2010
The
6th Annual "Appetite for Life" Gala was held Friday, February 12, 2010,
at the Metropolitan Ballroom & Clubroom in Minneapolis, MN. This
interactive, all-star cooking class, silent auction and culinary event
raises funds for the Another Chance for Life Fund, which provides
scholarships to individuals and families seeking treatment, recovery and
a better quality of life from their gambling addiction. 100% of the
event proceeds solely benefit patient and family aid.
The event was once
again hosted by Chefs Larry D'Amico and Seth Bixby Daugherty and WCCO
Radio Personality Sue Zelickson. Entertainment was provided by the Benny
Weinbeck Orchestra and a Special Celebrity Appearance by Matt Blair
rounded out the list of All-Star Personalities associated with the
evening.
Project Turnabout is
pleased to announce that the 2010 event was our biggest and brightest to
date. Raising in excess of $70,000.00 for the Another Chance for Life
Fund! Because of our supporters we will be able to help even more
patients and families in need of scholarship assistance. Since the
Vanguard Program for Compulsive Gambling began, over 2,500 gamblers have
been helped. In the last three years, over 300 individuals and families
have benefited from scholarship assistance. Thank you!

Women’s Monthly
Recovery Luncheons
All women in recovery, interested in recovery, and others who
benefit from this luncheon/speaker event are invited and encouraged
to attend. Women's Recovery Luncheons are provided free of
charge; luncheon provided by Project Turnabout/Vanguard.

Women's Recovery Meetings and
Women's NA Meetings
The Recovery Meetings are held at 7:30 pm every Wednesday night and
the NA Meetings are held every Friday night at Project Turnabout
(please enter through the front door). They are closed meetings
for any woman working the 12 Steps. Meetings are free of charge.

Quarterly Open Speaker Meetings
Recognized area and national speakers join us on a quarterly basis
to share a wide variety of recovery stories that provide a message of
inspiration and hope.
